Bordering the western part of Delnice is Japlenški vrh - a protected forest park perfect for recreation and sports, covering approx. 170 hectares.

There are many paths, walks and trails but the biggest ace-card is the vicinity of the „sports“ town of Delnice because it is a natural continuation of sports and urban facilities developed according to plan in the biggest Gorski kotar town.
