The dolphin - your friend

Mali Lošinj

We are talking about one of the most investigated groups of dolphins in the entire Mediterranean. The size of the community is estimated at 180 specimens.

Although resilient and adaptable, dolphins have been simply disappearing in many parts of the world, so that, in the Lošinj area, special attention is paid to the monitoring and conservation of this species. You too can contribute to these efforts by preserving the nature, by volunteering at the base in Veli Lošinj or by adopting a dolphin.

All you have to do is ask for the terms on site or on line and you will be provided with an adoption certificate, a photo of the adopted dolphin as well as with other information about dolphins and other benefits.

If lucky, the visitors to the Island of Lošinj, which dedicates a lot of attention to dolphins, will be rewarded during their walk by the sea by seeing this beautiful mammal swimming joyfully as if saying thank you for your care and friendship.
